GRD 155 Packaging Design
Eden’s Natural
Design Objective
This project focused on product packaging design, which encompasses the materials, structure, and visual elements of a product's exterior. Packaging plays a crucial role in branding by combining graphics, colors, typography, and form to create a memorable design. It not only looks good but also engages the senses—sight, touch, and sound—enhancing the customer experience. Every detail communicates the product’s purpose and target audience, ultimately influencing purchasing decisions.
Design Brief
I designed the packaging for Eden’s Natural, a candle brand featuring Coconut, Cucumber, and Peach scents. The objective was to create visually appealing and functional packaging that adhered to industry standards and conveyed the product's identity.
The process began with visual research to analyze how brands balance essential information with aesthetics. This led to defining the product concept and packaging requirements while incorporating fragrance notes, ASTM standards, product specifications, and cautionary labeling.
In the design phase, I created a color palette and custom illustrations of the three scents to emphasize the brand's natural theme. Finally, I showcased the packaging on a 3D candle model in Adobe Dimension for a realistic digital representation.
